What does the strong-fecal smelling whale vomit-blocks  have to do with your perfume?
Yes. You read it right!
I'm in awe of this foul smelling whale-vomit- boulder that usually is found floating in the ocean  and it  can be several hundred pounds in weight.
The foul smelling whale vomit boulder  is dark grayish-blackish  in color with streaks of white. Over a long period of time (decades) the stinky boulder oxidizes  into a  yellow/white,  sweet- smelling substance that is very expensive and is used in perfumes.
It is said that a single drop of ambergris on a piece of paper left in the open will stay fragrant for more than a year.
Ambergris has been used historically for it's fragrance,  in perfumes,  incense sticks, for flavoring food, as an aphrodisiac and as medicine.
It is worth noting that Ambergris sells for  approximately $20 a gram while gold sells  for approximately $30 a gram (market prices change) .
