http://www.denverpost.com I'm always in awe of the marvels of nature. Well, I'm not stating it lightly. Even a blade of grass that grows on a pile of dirt fascinates me , I'm dumbfounded by this edible vegetable that looks like broccoli and tastes like cauliflower. Look at the complicated patterns. Look at the color. Who is nature trying to please? I think it's competing with itself. The Broccoli Romanesco loaded with vitamins C and K and carotenoids and dietary fiber has been around for a long time - since the 16th Century! How can vegetables ever be boring? The Roman Cauliflower rocks. |
There are times in our lives when we are in awe of things, of situations, of people, of nature... Sometimes we are in awe and it makes our jaw drop and at times it makes us raise our eyebrows... amazing life, amazing world.... and this is just a record of those moments...
