We live on an amazing planet, our home has some of the coolest collections that all of us earthlings can brag about, the wonderful displays of nature  leaves me in awe over and over again.  Some of us travel long distances just to experience the marvels of  nature up close.  The lucky owners of the Fly geyser do not have to. They can enjoy the beauty that is located on their  property in Washoe County in Nevada,USA.

The geyser at the Fly Ranch  served as a well from 1916 to 1960, they say that in the 1960s geothermally heated water seeped out of weak spots in the walls of the well  and the build up of dissolved minerals  started  piling and rising and  growing, the geyser now sits on a mound of minerals, the geyser shoots  steaming hot water 5ft into the air. The mineral build up has also created terraces.  The water is constantly squirted out. The squirted water  has formed 30 to 40 pools spread over hectares of land.  The mound has grown larger and is still  is growing , the minerals give the geyser the beautiful, green, yellow, red, crimson colors.

Well, it's no Old faithful but it is still worth the awe.
